(Firecrackers with Seeds Inside)
Vadivel Pyrotechs unveiled the game-changing Seedstar fireworks in the year 2020. The ground-breaking innovation incorporates the essence of ‘green’ in fireworks while not tampering with the festive spirit. This revolutionary cracker line is the only fireworks in the world to sow real plants seeds on the ground after exploding in the air.
Seedstar firecrackers consist of an assorted seed package and explosive materials which when ignited, plunge heat resistant seeds into the air. On dispersal, these seeds will land on viable grounds and grow into new plants. Birth Marque, a branding agency in Chennai is honored to associate with Vadivel Pyrotechs as its innovation partner for Seedstar.
A registered patent of Vadivel Pyrotechs Private Limited, Seedstar firecracker has three crucial elements in it: explosive chemicals, seed packages, and vermicompost treated kraft papers.
Seeds with maximum heat resistance are placed inside the chemical mixture along with the pellet balls. On ignition, these seeds will get carried into the air up to several feet. Seeds with less durability are placed inside a clay adhesive which protects the seed during the entire process. On lighting the crackers, the seeds placed inside the clay sealing will get scattered within the limited radius of the firework. In addition to protection, the clay sealing also offers nourishment to the seed during germination.
Through extensive research and trials, thirty different types of indigenous seed varieties are selected for this purpose. They include seeds of Tamarind, Neem, Bamboo, Papaya, Lemon, Teak, Citron, Curry Leaf, Sapota, Water Melon, Pumpkin, Pea, Bottle Gourd, Bitter Gourd, Guava, and others.
The exclusive kraft papers used in Seedstar fireworks are treated with vermicompost to act as a natural fertilizer to the growing plants, further reducing the pollution caused by firecrackers. As an additional feather to the cap, all the fireworks produced in this line are 100% plastic-free and the shells and tubes used in the manufacture of Seedstar crackers are biodegradable.
This futuristic innovation is presently incorporated in the manufacture of aerial shots, rockets, ground fireworks, and fountain crackers. It can be extended to any type of fireworks except sparklers. The idea of Seedstar was conceived by Mr. Vasanth Vikas Arumugasamy, Mr. Athiban Arumugasamy, Mr. M. S. Shailendra and by Mr. Varun Sanjay.
Traditionally, sheets used in the manufacturing of firecrackers are cut, filled with explosive chemicals, and then dipped in dyes to add color and character to each firework. To transform this strenuous task into a more time and labor efficient one, Vadivel introduced color sheets to fireworks manufacturers all around the globe in the year 1945. Sheets made from the paper mills are dipped directly into the color dyes before slicing under this process. This innovation has accelerated the process of firecrackers production tremendously all around the world.
